Stitch Fix Coupon Code March 2015
For the month of March, Stitch Fix is offering $20 off for new customers. Use the coupon code RISKFREEMARCH. I believe this code will only work for new customers! This covers the styling fee to have a box curated for you, which means you can try the service risk free.
If you haven't tried Stitch Fix yet and are looking for a way to refresh your closet, now is the time to try! I've never heard of them offering a coupon code before, so this is a great deal. Plus the $20 can be used towards whatever you decide to keep from your fix, so you'll get $20 off an item. It's also really easy to skip a month or just get fixes every once in awhile (like I do).

Stitch Fix #5 January 2015
Rating: Not For Me!
Cost: $20 styling fee + retail price of items you keep
I haven't tried Stitch Fix lately, so I decided to try it again. I have received four orders before this, so this was my 5th Stitch Fix. I had stopped getting Stitch Fix every month, because I thought it was pricey and I wasn't get many pieces I was in love with and could justify paying full retail price for. So, let's see what I thought of this fix.
Here is a first look. I do really like their color scheme and simple packaging.
I had to take pictures quickly to return it within the time frame (you have 3 days to return the items you don't want). So, I used my dress form for the pictures instead of styling all the clothes. I will explain the fit, but unfortunately I don't have the clothes styled on myself this time.
Your stylist sends a note of why they chose the items for you and styling tips. You also can include items you would like to receive in your fix in your profile. I requested a specific cobalt skirt, but unfortunately they were out of stock, so they were unable to include it in my fix. But, they did notice a shirt I pinned to my Pinterest page that I linked to my account, so they sent that!
The shirt I had pinned to my Pinterest page that I saw a few other people receive was a 41 Hawthorne Milan Lace Print Back Pleat Top. The retail price is $58. I liked this shirt, but it fit me quite large and was not flattering. I also wasn't crazy about the ivory color on my very pale skin. Plus the lace look was just a print and not actual lace. And I thought it was quite pricey, so back it went.
The next item I received was a Renee C Edmondo Stud Detailed Split-Back Blouse. The retail price is $48. I would have liked this, but quite a few studs were missing when I took this out of the box. I love the cobalt color and have been requesting cobalt blue items every time I order a fix. This fit nicely and I liked the back detail. But I wasn't going to pay retail price for a shirt that was not in perfect condition, so back it went.
I also received a Gilli Nicilio 3/4 Sleeve Faux Wrap Dress in navy. The retail price is $68. My first thought was it was quite pricey for a jersey dress, but this felt so soft and comfortable on, plus I loved the detail on the top. I could definitely style this for a day at the office or out for the night. And it was a classic navy color that I could wear every season and for years. And it fit perfectly and my two year old called me a princess and grabbed my hands to twirl around with me. So, this became a keeper!
The next item I received was a Renee C Marcy Skirt. The retail price is $58. This had a great chevron black/white print that I loved. I wanted this to fit, but it was very form fitting and walking or sitting made it wiggle up, so this wouldn't have worked for me. I would have been constantly pulling it down to get it to lay properly. It also was too tight for the dress form, so I had to take a picture of it laying flat. So, as much as I wanted this to work, back it went.
The final item I received was a Moon Collection Alma Plaid Drape Front Cardigan. The retail price is $74. I knew I wouldn't like this. I wasn't crazy about the color, pattern, or shape. I love cardigans, but more structured ones that I can wear to the office. This just looked frumpy on me. The stylist suggested I wear this with the navy wrap dress pictured above. And I tried it, but this cardigan was very overwhelming on my small frame, and did nothing for my shape. So, this went back.
My thoughts on Stitch Fix have not changed much. It always makes me feel like I need to purchase at least one thing, so I don't lose my $20 styling fee. But the items are overpriced in my opinion and I can't help but compare it to Golden Tote prices, which I am much more pleased with. And they carry a lot of similar brands. So, I kept one dress from my fix, that I do love! I told myself I will only pay full retail price for items I truly love and can work into my wardrobe easily and know I will wear often. I'll be holding off awhile before getting another fix.

Stitch Fix #4 February 2014
Rating: Like It!!!
Cost: $20 styling fee + retail price of items you keep
My Stitch Fix #4 arrived today! I skipped a few months through the holidays to save some money and was hoping this box would be exactly what I wanted. Work pieces and vibrant colors was what I was looking for. This is the first look. I could see nothing, but that made me want to rip into the box even more.
So here's the second look. It looked promising when I saw some color, which I really liked. I thought maybe this will be the fix where I keep all five pieces!
Here is the card that shows how to style all the pieces. This made me want to try everything on immediately. I really liked everything they sent and was hoping it would all fit!
Katherine Barclay Nadia Ponte Pencil Skirt
Retail Price $98
I loved this skirt and it fit nicely, but it was a little too pricey for me. I think I can find something similar for less, so I decided to send this back. I did request a cobalt blue pencil skirt, so they definitely listened!
Sent Back
Margaret M Rio Geo Print Skinny Pant
Retail Price $78
I really liked the print on this pant. It was navy and tan and would go with so much in my closet. Unfortunately, these did not fit. They were too big and just looked wrong. I also requested patterned pants, so they definitely sent me what I wanted.
Sent Back
Under Skies Tuckerman Airy Knit Sweater
Retail Price $38
This sweater was one of my favorite items when I first looked at everything in the box. I loved the bright pink color and thought it would be a great transition piece from winter into spring. I immediately paired it with skirts and pants and loved it! This was a keeper!!! And I'm already trying to configure a cute outfit with it for Valentine's Day!
Keeper
RD Style Frenando Airy Knit Open Cardigan
Retail Price $68
I kept going back and forth with this piece. I liked it and it was comfortable, but I think the fit and color made me feel frumpy. I paired it with different pants and shirts and just couldn't get it right. I decided I probably wouldn't wear this if I kept it, so it's going back.
Sent Back
Under Skies Geena Tab-Sleeve Belted Tunic
Retail Price $48
I liked this out of the box. I loved the color and I need more tunics, so I couldn't wait to see how it looked on me. Maybe it was too wrinkly, but this looked awful. I didn't like the sleeves and the belt was in a strange place. It just didn't work, which made me kind of sad. I'm still searching for the perfect tunic...
Sent Back
I only kept one item from this box, but really loved everything they sent. They just didn't work on my body type. The stylist definitely listened to my requests and sent me exactly what I asked for. All the colors and pieces were beautiful, just not for me unfortunately.

Thursday Thoughts
I’m linking up with Jen from Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts.
I still haven’t peeked at any spoilers for the Popsugar Must Have Neiman Marcus box and now I think the temptation is over because it's a new month and I can’t wait to see what I get in this month’s boxes! And there are only a few weeks until Christmas!!!
I finally signed up for Wantable Intimates when they offered their Cyber Monday deal and my 2nd box is free! I’m so excited to see what I get in my first box and I should have it by Dec 9th. Woo Hoo!!!
I’m very proud of myself for skipping Stitch Fix, Popbasic, and Golden Tote this month (because my credit cards are a bit crazy with all the holiday shopping). These are the most expensive boxes that I usually buy each month, so I decided to skip them to save some money to buy for others! Hopefully I have a great Christmas because I’m being very good!!! Wink wink
I still need to decorate for Christmas, but I’m having a very difficult time deciding where I will put the tree and how to keep my toddler (1 1/2 yr old) away from it without using a gate (because we don’t have room for one). Does anyone have any creative ideas for me? We usually put up an artificial tree, but I’m open to any suggestions…
What are your Thursday Thoughts?

Stitch Fix #3 November 2013
Rating: Like It!!!
Cost: $20 styling fee + retail price of items you keep
My Stitch Fix #3 arrived yesterday. I couldn't wait to see what was inside. I had provided lots of feedback on my previous fixes and also provided my Pinterest link, so they could better understand my style. I was hoping it would be my favorite box yet and the first look was promising. I liked the blue theme I was seeing.
41 Hawthorn Multi-Colored Bees Strand Necklace
Retail Price $36
I loved this necklace. The colors, the length, the fact that it was a statement necklace in a bee pattern. Everything was perfect, except the price! It did not seem like it should cost $36 and if it was cheaper I definitely would have kept it. Or if I didn't like anything else in the fix, I would have kept it, so I didn't lose out on my $20 styling fee. I think it would have fit nicely into my wardrobe and I may regret not keeping this piece.
Sent Back
Collective Concepts Rilo Printed Front Pocket Blouse
Retail Price $68
I loved this blouse. I wish it would have been a different color/pattern other than black and white, but the fit was perfect! And I loved the versatility of the sleeves. They can be worn rolled up or down as a full length sleeve. This will be a shirt I can wear any season and I thought it was a bit pricey, but worth it! It also looks great with pants or skirts!!!
Keeper
Leota Fiore Box Pleated Skirt
Retail Price $88
I wanted to love this skirt. The color was great and the style was perfect, but it was too big on me. The length was also a bit awkward because it hit right at my knees. I felt a bit dowdy in it and it just wasn't for me. I was happy I didn't fall in love with it when I saw the price too!
Sent Back
Margaret M Emer High Waisted Cropped Trouser
Retail Price $98
These were all wrong for me. They're a trouser material in black. They were a bit tight and I could barely get them over my hips to try them on. And cropped pants for our cold winters just don't work (even with boots). I would freeze. Plus when I did have these on they looked like tight leggings, and felt all wrong. I could not be comfortable wearing these. And again when I saw the price I was happy I didn't love them!
Sent Back
Lily Imelda Zig-Zag Wrap Dress
Retail Price $108
This dress fit okay and I did like the color/pattern, but it did not feel worth $108. I prefer long sleeves instead of 3/4 for winter dresses and this felt like a very lightweight material. I also received a black wrap dress in my first fix that I loved and it felt like a much higher quality dress for around the same price. The pattern on the seams did not line up on this dress and it really bothered me. This just wasn't for me!
Sent Back
This fix was at a higher price point than I would have liked. If I bought the entire fix it would have cost about $300 after the 25% discount you get for keeping all 5 items. I would have loved this fix if everything fit properly, because I think this is the first fix I received where I could have mixed and matched pieces. There was a color scheme and it looked like they really took my past feedback and Pinterest page into account. I'm skipping a few months (to try to save money) and scheduled my next fix for the beginning of February.

Thursday Thoughts
I'm linking up with Jen from Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts.
I made it through another week of not looking at any spoilers of the Popsugar Neiman Marcus Special Edition Box (and not opening the box at my house). I hope I can make it until Christmas! Next week I am expecting Golden Tote and Stitch Fix, so I'm hoping that will keep me busy, so I'm not tempted to peek at what's in the Popsugar NM box.
I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving next week. Yummy food and hanging out with family. Yay! Plus a very short work week!!!
Who's planning on going shopping Black Friday?!? I usually go and probably will this year too. Just not sure what I'm looking for. I still have a lot of Christmas shopping to do, so I need to figure out what I still need to buy. And hopefully I'll get some good deals! It really seems like a lot of stores have some great sales going on early this year. Love that!
If you don't already subscribe to Citrus Lane for your little one, now is the time to subscribe. They have the "Best Deals of 2013" going on now. A monthly subscription is regularly $25 for 4-5 items each month (toys, books, feeding, and care products). Right now you can purchase a 3-month subscription for $56 + free shipping ($18.67/month), 6-month subscription for $105 + free shipping ($17.50/month), 12-month subscription for $196 + free shipping ($16.33/month). This deal is also for current subscribers, and additional months purchased will be added onto your current subscription. New customers can subscribe today by clicking here (and save an extra $10). These deals will not last long!!!

Use the code CANTSTOP5 to save $5 off your subscription to Sparaj (valid through 12/31). I love this subscription for gifting! The presentation is AMAZING and the spa products will be welcomed by anyone who deserves a little pampering!!!

Thursday Thoughts
I'm linking up with Jen from Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts.
I finally started my Christmas Shopping and I've made a list of most of the things that I still need to buy. So I feel very accomplished. But there are still a few people that I have no ideas for. What is your favorite gift you are giving this year? Or what do you hope you get?
I've been very good and have avoided Popsugar Must Have Neiman Marcus Box spoilers and reviews. I know my NM box arrived today (even though my regular monthly Popsugar Must Have box hasn't arrived yet), but I am waiting until Christmas morning to open the NM box. I'm trying to go spoiler free until then, which is truly torturous because I really want to know what's going to be in it. I keep asking my guy (who bought it for me) if he'll look at the reviews to "make sure" I'll like it, but he doesn't want to spoil the surprise. Guess I'll just have to wait!
I keep seeing so many great deals on subscriptions or gifts with purchases and it's making me want to buy EVERYTHING. I'm really trying to control myself and concentrate on getting my Christmas shopping done first.
I wish I could enjoy cooking. I've tried to cook a few things from The Can't Cook Book I received in October's Popsugar Must Have Box and they came out decent and edible, but I just don't want to cook after I long day at work. I'm not sure that will ever change. And with the holidays coming the last thing I want to do is cook, but I'm looking forward to eating all the yummy food!!! I do love to eat and appreciate everyone's hard work of preparing the food!
I received an email today from ThredUp saying they received my bag. I forgot I sent in some clothes to try to get credit for Stitch Fix (they included a ThredUp bag in my October fix). I really have a lot to clean out, so I might be sending more. Not sure why I haven't done it sooner.
What's on your mind today?

Stitch Fix #2 October 2013
Rating: Maybe, One More Try!!
Cost: $20 styling fee + retail price of items you keep
My Stitch Fix #2 arrived yesterday! I was so excited to see what my stylist sent me this time based on my feedback from my last fix. I was happy to see some color when I opened the box. There was also some patterns that looked interesting, so I couldn't wait to try everything on. Here's a look at what I received.
Kut from the Kloth Jonathan Corduroy Skinny Pant
Retail Price $78
I liked the tan color of these because they are versatile and will go with many items in my closet. They fit well and were comfortable. They are a tad tight, but I think they will loosen up with wear as most pants do. They are not uncomfortably tight, but if they shrink a bit they may be.
Undecided, what are your thoughts?
Mak Neptune Stripe & Colorblocked Cardigan
Retail Price: $48
This was the item I was most excited to try on when I first opened the box. But it didn't fit quite right. The sleeves were slightly too short and the sweater was a bit shorter than I like. The colorblocked pattern also just looked wrong on me. I guess an unsymmetrical pattern is just not for me.
Sent Back
Under Skies Finley Bell Sleeve Knit Sweater
Retail Price $68
I wasn't crazy about this sweater at first look, but I tried it on anyways. The neckline was large and it drooped down over my shoulder, which I wasn't crazy about. I hated the bell sleeves. And they were slightly short, so they looked even worse. (I don't have crazy long arms, so I'm not sure why nothing fit in the arms. I've never had that problem before.)
Sent Back
Sweet Rain Dally Knit Chevron Pencil Skirt
Retail Price $58
I loved the print on this skirt, but it was very long (below the knee). And very form fitting. I'm really not sure how I feel about it. I'm not sure what to wear it with besides solid colored sweaters or blouses for the fall/winter. The material was soft and it is very comfortable, but I'm not sure it is really my style.
Undecided, what are your thoughts?
I was hoping I would love at least one piece in this Stitch Fix, especially since I provided a lot of feedback from my last one. But I'm not sure I like any of them enough to keep anything. The two items I'm undecided about are the tan corduroy pants and the chevron pencil skirt. Can you please help me decide whether I should keep either of them? Please leave your comments below. And be honest!

Bay to Baubles Cecilia Rectangle Gems Layering Necklace
Retail Price $32
I didn't really like this necklace nor do I really need another long necklace. The large stones kept flipping backwards as I was wearing it and I have a 1 year old daughter that would really pull on this, so I never wear necklaces anymore. The colors were different shades of blue that were nice and definitely colors I would wear.

Stitch Fix #1 October 2013
Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $20 styling fee + retail price of items you keep
My first Stitch Fix box came this week!!! I was so excited to try this subscription. I got so antsy when I knew the box was on its way, that I tried to do some snooping to see what I might get. I tried to look at reviews to see if lots of people received one or two of the same things, but didn't have any luck. I noticed that the items showed up in my account before I received my fix, so I tried to figure out what the items might look like (it didn't include the clothing brands, just described what it was). I googled everything, but couldn't find anything close and when I started seeing athletic wear I had to be on the wrong track (fingers crossed), because that is not my style at all. I got scared and decided this was one subscription I would just have to wait for.
The box was recognizably from Stitch Fix with their logo on the brown box and Stitch Fix packing tape. I really liked the packaging and love their color scheme. The colors, the nice card enclosed with the instructions and a packing slip of the items, complete with prices, descriptions, and also some thoughts from the stylist. Loved it!!
My first look at the items was not good. Most of the items were black and I do not wear a lot of black. I was slightly disappointed, but excited to try the stuff on. I figured I probably wouldn't be keeping the whole box, because I don't need that many black pieces. I left feedback for my next fix to include more color and patterns. I tried everything on and I'll give you a breakdown of what I kept and what I sent back.
Here's a look at what I received.
Eight Sixty-Aubree Printed Hi-Lo Sheer Blouse
Retail Price $45
Tart-Ari Solid Wrap Dress
Retail Price $128
After much debate with myself whether I REALLY needed a black dress, I decided I would regret not keeping this. I perused my closet and realized I didn't have TOO many black dresses! The versatility of a black wrap dress alone was worth the purchase. And it has long sleeves, which makes it perfect for fall/winter (and I didn't have a long sleeved black dress in my closet already). Yay! It fit great and the material is so soft!!! I can't wait to style this with bright or patterned tights and a statement necklace!

Natural Life-Roma Cowl Neck Jersey Knit Top
Retail Price $48
I loved the blue color of this shirt and it was the only item in my box that was a color (I definitely commented in my feedback that I wanted more color in my next fix) I tried this on even though I generally hate cowl necks on me. And I hated it. I always feel so droopy when I wear them (I'm not sure that is even a term to describe fashion) Plus, I'm a cardigan girl (I wear one practically every day) and they never seem to look right with these types of shirts.

Dear John-Joy Bootcut Twill Pant
Retail Price $88
These black pants fit perfect. I thought they would be tight, but not at all. They were a little long on me (as you can see in the pictures), but a tailor could have fixed that. I was leaning towards keeping these, but didn't because I really wanted pieces I could also wear to work and these were too casual (I left that in my feedback for my next Stitch Fix) They were the softest material and were very comfortable! I may regret not purchasing these :(

Glam-Augusta Short Sleeve Striped Top
Retail Price $58
This shirt was navy, but still really dark. I was not crazy about the pattern with the vertical stripes. It was cut really boxy and I didn't like the fit. It also had a shorter front than back, with slits on the sides, which made the back look strange (like a flap). I just didn't feel like myself when I had this shirt on, so it went back.

Stitch Fix also includes style cards on all the pieces to give ideas of how to dress the items up or down.

I loved this shirt immediately. It wasn't solid black, which is a plus. I wasn't crazy about the pattern, but when I tried it on I knew I would purchase it. It fit loosely and was flowy. I loved that it had long sleeves. It will be perfect for fall! I tried it on with skirts and pants and loved it with both. The style card was perfect! They paired it with a blue pencil skirt, which I think will look great (I may need to buy one).

I'm excited to see what my stylist picks out for me for Stitch Fix #2. I left lots of feedback and I can't wait to see my next box at the end of this month!
