Popsugar Must Have March 2016

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $39.95/month

I am always so excited to see what comes in the Popsugar box each month. Popsugar has been releasing a spoiler almost every month lately, so I always know at least one item before my box comes. And this is one subscription that I can't resist spoilers, so I always peek ahead of receiving my box. I couldn't wait to see this box in person!

Popsugar always includes an information card each month explaining what is in the box. The inspiration for this month was Feminine, Refreshing, Vibrant, Daydreaming, and Illuminating.

The spoiler that Popsugar released was the Nanette Lepore Classic Rose Gold Watch. Retail price $55. I really love this watch, but I have way too many watches right now and keep wearing my Apple Watch most days. The strap was designed exclusively for Popsugar. I will switch to wear this one too, because I really like it. It is similar to one we received in the Zoe Report Box of Style, so I wish this watch would have had more color or something. It's very pretty and classic though!

We also received Pixi by Petra Book of Beauty - Minimal Makeup. Retail Price $24. This is a very nice palette that will work for lots of skin tones. It has 2 highlighters, 2 cheek tints, and 4 eye shadows. I really like it. I haven't tried it yet, but I can't wait to. I love all the shimmery and neutral shades. Plus my makeup is usually minimal, so this is just my style!

The next item was Miss Ivy Pearl Five-Tassel Necklace. Retail price $38. I really like this! The colors of the tassels are colors I wear all the time, so this is another item that's perfect for me. I can't wait to wear this. It's different and fun! It will be perfect for Spring!!!

The Govino Go-Anywhere Carafe and Water Glass Set is really nice. Retail price $14.95. We have received Govino products in past Popsugar boxes. This set will be perfect for a guest bedroom, and you don't have to worry about knocking it over and breaking it.

We also received Hello Extra Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste. Retail price $4.49. I use this brand of toothpaste and am almost out and was going to buy some the other day. Luckily I looked at spoilers, so I knew I had this on the way. I love this stuff!

The final item included was Goodie Girl Cookies - Toffee Chaos. Retail price $4.99. These look so yummy and I can't wait to try them! Actually, I don't know how these have made it a couple days without being opened. I thought about opening them as soon as I opened the box!

The Special Extra included this month was a $10 Lola Gift Card. I loved the special extra items last month, but I won't be using this one. Lola is a monthly tampon subscription.

The March Popsugar box was great! Popsugar has really been doing a great job curating boxes lately. I love everything! And I can't wait to see what we get for April!

Love with Food Tasting Box March 2016

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $10/month

I am really liking my Love with Food subscription. Each month we get new snacks to try that I've never tried before, so it's a lot of fun. And most of the stuff is healthy and natural! The past couple boxes had mostly sweet snacks, but this one had some savory snacks too.

Love with Food always includes an information card explaining the snacks for the month.

The first snack was Horizon Organic Fruit Snacks in Bunch 'O Berries. My daughter grabbed this one and ate it shortly after we opened the box. She loves fruit snacks! These were cute and shaped like cows. They tasted like fruit and were good (I was able to talk my daughter into sharing one with me to try).

We also received Pork Clouds Fried Pork Skins in Rosemary & Sea Salt. We haven't tried these yet, but the flavor sounds like it will be good!

The snack I was most excited to try was Dolcetto Lemon Wafer Bites. I love lemon flavored snacks! These were crispy and delicious. I tried to share, but nobody else wanted to try these. I thought they were yummy and ate them all!

The next snack included was Stonefire Naan Crisps in Original. These were yummy and crispy and quite salty! Iliked them! I think they'd be great to use with dips too.

My daughter took the Almond Roca in Butter Crunch Toffee and had no intention of sharing this one. She said it was good! It looked like it was covered in nuts and I'm sure I would have loved it. We may have to order more of these so we can all try them!

We also received a Nature's Bakery Fig Bar in Strawberry. This was a yummy fig cookie that tasted very fresh! I really liked it and think this will make a good snack for the whole family.

I'll be honest. I was a bit scared about trying the Olympus Pitted Green Olives with Herbs. Something about olives in a bag instead of a jar was scaring me. Plus I couldn't find an expiration date on the package. I knew Love with Food wouldn't send something that was spoiled, but it was still odd to me. These were great! The herbs gave them just enough flavor. These would be perfect to add on a salad too! I ate them plain as a snack.

The final snack included was Salty Road Salt Water Taffy - Peppermint. I really like salt water taffy! This was delicious, it had a good amount of salt flavor that worked well with the peppermint. I think I might buy this brand of taffy again. But I was the only one in my family that liked it. They may like some other flavors though!

I really liked the March Love with Food box. It had a good variety of products to try and I really liked quite a few. I can't wait to see what we get in April!

Birchbox March 2016

Rating: Like It!!!
Cost: $10/month

I received my March Birchbox last week and just got around to trying everything and writing my review. I'm on beauty product overload and ready for a break from Birchbox! My subscription has to over soon, just not sure when?!? I have so much to use and get way too many full size products in my other subs.

The box designs have been so pretty lately. I use them for gifts and will miss them when my subscription ends. I'll also miss the point system and getting great deals on full size products by using the points.

Birchbox always includes an information card explaining the samples for the month.

My first sample was Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Filter. These are 3 neutral eye shadow shades. They are very pigmented and would look good on all skin tomes. I'm not a fan of brown shadows, but these colors are better than most neutral palettes I've tried, so I will use them. It probably won't end up being my go to eye shadow palette though.

The sample I chose this month was Parlor by Jeff Chastain Volumizing & Texturizing Shampoo. My hair is very thin and fine, so I can always use some extra volume. This doesn't have a strong scent, which I like and works well. I didn't see a big increase in volume or texture, but I rarely do. And I got a bonus sample of the conditioner to go with this. I always like trying the shampoo and conditioner together.

I also received Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser. I've never tried this product before and I've heard good things about it, so I was excited to try it. It works well. Nothing stood out about this product and I think I've found other facial cleansers I like better.

The next sample I received was Cynthia Rowley Beauty Brightening Illuminator. I've received quite a few illuminators in my past Birchboxes, but rarely use them. This was nice and went on smooth and blended in very easily.

The final sample I received was Cartier Baiser Vole Eau de Parfum. I hate receiving perfume samples, because they are always too strong for me and I never use them. They just end up going in the trash usually. This was no different. This scent was too strong for my taste.

The March Birchbox didn't have any products that really stood out to me. I have received products I love in past Birchboxes, but this one wasn't too great. Hopefully I'll have better luck with April!

The Zoe Report Box of Style Spring 2016

Rating: Like It!!!
Cost: $100/quarterly box; $350 yearly subscription

I received my Zoe Report Box of Style this week and I hadn't looked at spoilers yet, so I was so excited to see what was in it! I'm not even sure I'd seen any spoilers out before I got my box. I love that this box ships right away in the beginning of the month and doesn't take weeks to show up!

This is the most exciting view, especially when you have no idea what is going to be under the tissue paper!

And everything inside is individually wrapped in black tissue paper. My daughter helped me unwrap everything and was having so much fun with it!

This box is all about Spring and I was excited to see what was in this box. I missed last year's Spring box, which was the very first box and it was amazing! The Box of Style always includes a information booklet of everything included in the box. And as usual I took pictures of every page. I love reading these to see how Rachel Zoe would style everything!

The Hero Item included this month was the Shaffer LA Leather Bucket Bag. Retail price $150. Everyone received a custom Caramel Leather color. When I saw this spoiler, I knew it wasn't my style, because it's a bit too bohemian. Plus I'm a mommy, so my festival days are over. And from pictures I thought it was going to be kind of large, but this is quite small, and fairly simple, so I'm warming up to it and it just might become my go to bag for running around on weekends. My work bag needs to be much larger, but I can kind of see myself using this for vacations and shopping trips. I actually really like the tassels and simple shape of it!

I forgot there was another spoiler released until I opened it up and remembered. The Jouer Creme Eyeshadow Crayon was the other spoiler released before the boxes shipped. Retail price $24. Subscribers received one of 8 colors. I received Mosaic, which is a silvery blue shade and I love it. I was so happy with the color chosen for me. It is different than anything I own and I know I will wear it. I have blue eyes and pale skin, so I feel like it will work nicely on me!

The next item included was my favorite. I received the Jules Smith Pave Bar and Stone Cuff in silver. Retail price $45. Some subscribers received gold. I would have been happy with either, but prefer silver. This is so delicate and pretty. I love it! Some people may complain because it is small, but it is adjustable, so it will fit everyone. I personally love bracelets that fit small wrists too, because I often have the problem of them being large, so this is perfect for me. And I have earrings that will work with it perfectly, so I can't wait to wear it! It's different and unique, yet simple, which I love!!!

Also included was LSTN Sound Co. Wembley Earbuds. Retail price $100. These are wooden and so chic looking. Plus the proceeds provide hearing aids to help someone hear for the first time through Starkey Hearing Foundation! I don't use earbuds much, but I may start, because these are so lovely and I want to use them.

The next item was Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk. Retail price $20. I've tried this dry shampoo before and I like it, but it's not my favorite brand. I do have quite a bit of dry shampoo right now, so I may end up gifting it to someone that will enjoy it.

The final item included was Hollywood Fashion Secrets Oil Blotting Tissues. Retail price $5. I probably should use products like this, but rarely do. I do have quite a few weddings to attend, so I may throw these in my bag for those shiny moments, when you need to be camera ready!

And I saved my favorite surprise for the end. All subscribers received a bonus sample of La Mer The Concentrate! I've been wanting to try something by this brand FOREVER, but it's much too expensive for me, so I've never been able to. And now I can, which I'm so excited about. I just hope I don't fall in love, because I can't afford the $340/$440 price tag!!! Hopefully I can make this sample stretch for quite a while if I love it! And for that price, I'm hoping for miracles!!!

The Spring Box of Style was a well curated box. I'm not sure I'm overly excited for any one product included and I think I liked last year's Spring box better. Maybe once I start using the products, I'll change my mind. It definitely was still worth the price and I feel like if I decide to skip one of these boxes, it will be the best one yet. I can't wait to see the summer hero product. I hope they release it soon.
