Popbasic Isla Collection

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $75

I received my Popbasic Isla Collection awhile ago and have been meaning to take styled photos before posting my review, but I still haven't taken pictures, so I'll just be posting my review. I was very happy with this collection and I've been begging for more cobalt blue in my wardrobe, because I love it! When I saw this collection included a cobalt skirt, I knew I had to order it!

Popbasic collections contain 3 items and an extra small item, like a beauty extra or something similar. This month the main pieces included were the cobalt dream maxi skirt, the basic black tee, and the vantage point necklace. One difference with this collection was there was going to be an extra jewelry item included! Here is a quick first glance at what was included in the box.

Popbasic always includes an information card with what is included and a very nice postcard with a handwritten note from the owner of Popbasic!

The item I was most excited for was the cobalt dream maxi skirt. I'm 5'6" and this is the perfect length on me! I love this bright vibrant color, which doesn't show true in my pictures. The actual color is similar to the information card (maybe a touch lighter). And Popbasic's basic tees always fit and feel like perfection. I wish I could order all the styles in multiple colors, because they are the only tees I want to wear. This t-shirt is a v-neck and is super soft!

The vantage point necklace is a classic style that will go with everything! The extra jewelry item was a simple gold necklace with a small round pendant that goes nicely with the vantage point necklace and everything I own. I think in the pictures on the Popbasic website they show these two necklaces together, so I was very happy to get both!

The extra item was Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie. My hair is very straight, but I like to curl it, so I'll try this the next time I curl my hair. This is a large product for an extra item. It smells amazing!

And the only picture I have of me wearing the Isla Collection, is a very bad selfie. Sorry. But I love this belt from Golden Tote that I styled it with. The belt is no longer available on the Golden Tote Website, but I was lucky enough to get one.

And the reason I felt the need to buy this collection, is that we just remodeled our kitchen and we painted an accent wall blue! So, I thought this would be the perfect outfit when we have a wine and cheese party with friends once the kitchen is 100% done! Doesn't everyone need outfits that match their decor!?!

The Popbasic Isla Collection is still available in all sizes as well as the Felicity Collection which features a gray dress and a necklace and bracelet. The Ariel Collection will go on sale tomorrow (3/18/15) at 10 am PST. It features a gray tank top and two necklaces, one of which is cobalt blue! And if you haven't purchased from Popbasic yet, feel free to use my referral link for $15 off your first purchase!!!

Popbasic Frankie Collection October 2014

I felt the need to post something about one of my favorite companies, since I wasn't able to snatch one of the collections last month. This month Popbasic is offering the Frankie Collection which will go on sale Wednesday, Oct 22 at 10 am PST. I am very excited for this collection!

It will include a long sleeve grey marl tee shirt, a white leather belt with rose gold hardware, and a pin dot scarf. The price of the collection has not been released yet, but last month's collection sold out in record time, so if you want this month's collection, be prepared to buy it on the 22nd. I know I will be buying it!

All 3 of these pieces I know I'll get so much wear out of. I can't wait for the belt. I loved the belt included in the Rubi Collection. I wear it all the time, and I'm even more excited for a white belt! And remember if you haven't signed up for Popbasic e-mails yet, you'll save $15 on your next purchase by clicking any of my links in this post and signing up.

Popbasic Wanderlust Collection

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $78

I have some very exciting news! Popbasic ran a contest from their Popcast and they were looking for viewers to name the pieces of the Wanderlust Collection. Well, of course I entered, because who wouldn't want to win this collection! And....I won!!! I was so happy and excited and they sent it out right away, so I have it in my hands before the collection is available to purchase. Yay! So, you get to see what I thought about it, before it's even released.

The Wanderlust Collection will be available Wednesday, August 13th at 10am PST (1pm EST for all of us East Coasters). And since Popbasic used the names of the pieces I came up with I will be including the descriptions as they appear on my information card, so exciting! Also, Popbasic includes a special extra in the collection and I won't be spoiling that for all of you, so that will not be in my pictures.

Ok, now on to the pieces. But, first here was the first look when I opened the box.

The first item I was excited to try on was the Impulse Cardigan. "It's the perfect companion to any outfit. Wrap yourself up in our impulse cardigan when you're about to embark on a road trip, or heading out for a few last minute dinner essentials." It's 100% cotton and machine washable. I've always loved that about Popbasic, most of their items are machine washable! This cardigan drapes beautifully and is very soft and comfortable. It's a dreary, rainy day here, so I'm already wearing it. To get this review up quickly I took some pictures on myself and with a dress form. (Oh, how I really really hate getting my photo taken, can you tell?!?)

I tied the front of the cardigan for a different look also. I think this could look nice with dresses with a defined waist. (Sorry for the wrinkles)

And because you can never have too many striped tees, I was so happy to receive the Traveler Tee! "A staple in every suitcase, the traveler tee is a light weight cotton, that pairs effortlessly with jeans, ballet flats and a cardigan." That is basically what I'm wearing all the time, so this tee suits me perfectly. It fits comfortably and I love the roll sleeve detail. It's a heavier weight tee than the tee featured in the Jane Collection, so it is not sheer, which I like. It's 80% cotton, 15% polyester, 5% spandex and machine washable.

The final item in the collection is the Drifter Necklace. "An effortless piece for when you're packing light. Wear your drifter necklace with your casual day outfits, or pair with a simple black dress when you're enjoying dinner and a show." The necklace is gunmetal and a very nice weight. It has a lobster claw clasp and can be worn on a few settings. This necklace is very much my style and I know I will get so much wear out of it.

I am so happy with this collection and could not be more thrilled to have won it! I know I will be wearing these pieces all year long and can't wait to see what Popbasic comes out with next. And remember if you haven't signed up for Popbasic e-mails yet, you'll save $15 on your next purchase by clicking any of my links in this post and signing up. Will you be picking up the Wanderlust Collection?

Popbasic

I'm so excited to tell you about the Popbasic Wanderlust Collection that is going on sale August 13th at 10 am PST or 1 pm EST. This collection looks just as amazing as the previous ones and I can't wait to see the pieces in person. The quality of Popbasic pieces are always amazing, and I'm sure this collection will be the same. Ok, on to what is included in the Wanderlust Collection.

It will include a Grey Waterfall cardigan, which will definitely be a staple for fall dressing. I love the drape of this and think it will look great styled with dresses or jeans. I've been wishing Popbasic would include a cardigan in a collection for quite a while now, so I was so excited when I saw this!

The accessory piece in the Wanderlust Collection is a Gunmetal Necklace. I love this! It's simple and will go with everything, plus it has a tough girl vibe I like. And it could still be girly paired with the right outfit or other accessories.

The final piece included is a Navy and White Striped Roll Sleeve Tee. I'm addicted to stripes (most of my closet is striped). And when I see more I just feel like I need them. This looks like the perfect tee and the rolled sleeve is a nice detail. I have loved every tee created by Popbasic so far. They are all super soft and fit amazing! I'm sure I need this shirt!!!

Popbasic will also be releasing their Polka Dot Shirt in black or white for pre-order soon.

This is so exciting!!! Popbasic has just released as I was writing this post that they have re-opened the pre-order sale for the red Le Breton top until this Friday (8/8) at 11 pm PST. $48 size XS-XL. They plan on shipping them out by August 27th. Will you be picking one up?

And remember if you haven't signed up for Popbasic e-mails yet, you'll save $15 on your next purchase by clicking any of my links in this post and signing up. You'll also be the first to know when the collection is available to purchase!

Popbasic Jane Collection and Le Breton

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $75

My Popbasic Jane Collection arrived this week as well as the Popbasic Le Breton I had pre-ordered. I know I say every collection is my favorite and I truly mean it at that time. The Jane Collection is no different. I love it! Everything fits me perfectly and the pieces are high quality fabrics. And it ships so quick! Within a few days of ordering, the package is on my doorstep. That makes me very happy!!!

The Jane Collection included the Jane Blush Tee, a Basic Black Pencil Skirt, and a Deux Loop Necklace for $75. Popbasic also includes a small extra item in the package.

Popbasic always has a handwritten postcard and a style card, that includes different ways to style the pieces. Here are the extras this month. I think these are my favorite so far. There is a card and envelope from Pennie Post. I'm constantly using stationary, so I love this so much! There was also cleansing towelettes from The Creme Shop in blueberry. I'm excited to try these!

The Jane Blush Tee is so soft and I love the color of it, it's a pale pink. It looks great with the pencil skirt and also looks great with jeans. It has a cute puckered detail in the back and is longer. I love the shape of this tee and how it fits loose. I will get a ton of wear out of this, as I do with all my Popbasic pieces!

The Basic Black Pencil Skirt is perfect! It fits amazing and has a slit on the back. It's comfortable, but still looks pulled together. I tried this with a few different outfits and it looked great with everything. I was searching for the perfect pencil skirt and this is definitely it!

The Deux Loop Necklace was pictured in the first outfit with all 3 pieces of the collection. This is a classic looking necklace in a gold tone. It looks great with the tee and the pencil skirt, but I think I'll be throwing this on with lots of outfits. Here is a closer look at it.

I love the Popbasic Jane Collection. I know I'll be getting a lot of use out of the pencil skirt for work and the blush tee is so comfy that I want to wear it every day. If you love this collection also, you can still purchase it on the Popbasic website! And if you are new to Popbasic and haven't used a referral credit yet, you can save $15 by clicking on any of my links in this post.

I pre-ordered the Le Breton and it finally arrived! I was sad I missed out on this shirt when it was offered as part of a collection. I was so happy when Popbasic decided they would bring back some of their popular items to order. The Le Breton was the first piece they offered. Right now you can pre-order the Le Breton in red/white if you are interested. It will be available until July 18th.

Thursday Thoughts

I'm linking up with Jen from Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts.

My daughter is two today!!! Where did the time go?!? This is such a fun age. And to celebrate today I'm wearing my Woo Kaftan dress from Golden Tote (I'm in love) and I bought my daughter the same dress in a miniature version (in the watermelon color) from the Woo website! It was a bit big on her, but will probably fit her better next summer!!! She had just woken up from a nap and did not want her picture taken.

Popbasic has some exciting things going on, so I thought I'd tell you about them! The Jane Collection will be available next week on the 1st of July at 10am PST. Yay!!! Check it out here if you want to learn more.

The red Le Breton will be available for pre-order on the 8th of July at 10am PST. Also, if you pre-ordered the original Le Breton shirt, it is shipping out this week. I can't wait to get mine!

Also, if you'd like to save $15 (and haven't already signed up for Popbasic e-mails and used a referral link), you can click any Popbasic link in this post to receive $15 towards your purchase. The Paloma Collection (my favorite collection) is still available, so order now if you don't want to miss out! Check out my review for the collection here.

The other thing I'm so excited for, is for my Golden Tote Surprise Item Tote to ship. The surprises are always my favorite items and I can't wait to see what I get! The best thing is, the surprise tote won't sell out, so if you thought you missed it, you can still order one today. Also, I was planning on skipping a July tote, to save some money, but I have loved every spoiler so far. What are your thoughts on the July items?!? I know I won't be able to pass some of them up, including this top that I absolutely need!

What's on your mind today?!?

Popbasic Paloma Collection

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $85

My Popbasic Paloma Collection finally arrived. I was waiting for this collection to go on sale for quite some time (I ordered as soon as it did) and couldn't wait to see the pieces in person. I already knew what would be included, so it wasn't a surprise, but I always wonder what will be in Popbasic's upcoming collections. They are always amazing! And as soon as I start seeing clues, I know I'm going to have to buy it.

Here was the first look when I opened the box.

The Paloma Collection included a Basic White Tee, a Paloma Leather Clutch, and Grey Striped Infinity Scarf. The collection costs $85, but if you use any of my links in this post you can save $15 on your purchase (if you haven't already used a referral code). And I believe they still have sizes x-small through x-large available.

They also include a style card explaining each piece with ways to style it on the back and of course you'll always receive a hand written postcard from the owner herself! Such a nice touch, as I'm sure she writes a lot of notes each month.

They also include an extra little gift in every parcel. This month was VIA Natural Lip Care in Strawberry. You can never have enough chapstick and this is a perfect addition to put right in the leather clutch. Also, included was a coupon code for the Bouqs, which is a subscription for beautiful flowers. I've been wanting to try it, so I was excited to see this!

Now on to the collection. I love the Grey Striped Infinity Scarf! I wanted this so bad for spring/summer. It's lightweight and goes with everything. Plus, believe it or not, this is the first infinity scarf I own. And I'm in love! It's soft and perfect!!!

The Basic White Tee fits me perfectly! It has a cute seam down the back, which I love. The sleeves are just the right cap sleeve length. It's a quality cotton/rayon fabric and very soft. This is something everyone can use more of in their wardrobe. It really does go with everything!

The Paloma Leather Clutch was my favorite piece in this collection and what I was most excited to have in my hands. This is a large clutch (9x13) and 100% leather, with a rose gold zipper. I will be using this all summer as my go to clutch when I can just grab a few things and go.

I'm even happier with this Popbasic collection than I thought I would be. It's perfectly my style and seeing everything in person made it even better. The quality of Popbasic products is superb! If you haven't ordered the Paloma Collection and would like to, you can check it out here. In my opinion if you are on the fence about ordering this one, I say definitely go for it! I seriously think this is my favorite collection from Popbasic!!! And remember if you want to save $15 on your order, use any of my links (if you haven't already used a referral code from someone else).
