BarkBox March 2015

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $29/month

We received our March BarkBox yesterday and we couldn't wait to see what was inside. This will be our last BarkBox for awhile. Our puppy has a lot of toys and treats to last awhile, so we're taking a break, but it's not because we don't love this box! This month I expected to open the box and see a lot of green. I expected the box to have a St Patrick's day theme, but it did not. I was pleasantly surprised by the theme this month of Island Paradise. I'm in need of a vacation, with the long winter we've had, so I was loving this theme.

Here is a peek at the box.

BarkBox always contains an information card explaining the theme for the month and everything included in the box. Plus reorder codes, in case you want to purchase any of the items in the box.

The first item that caught my eye was the Swag Co. Parrot. Retail price $9. This is very cute and just the right size for our pup. Our puppy loves all the BarkBox toys and this one is no exception!

The next item included was Yeti Corp Golden Nugget. Retail price $8. These are different than anything I've ever seen. They are made from Nepali yak and cow milk, salt, and lime juice. The instructions say to puff them in the microwave and serve popcorn after cooling, or boil for 10-15 minutes in water then chop into bits as a food topper. I love that BarkBox contains items I would never think of buying for our pup or can't find in my area. Our pup hasn't tried these yet, but they will definitely be different from anything he's had before. Hopefully he likes them!

We also received PetProjekt Squeeki Tiki. Retail price $8. This is really squeaky and fun. I love the bright color too. This was a hit with our pup and our 2 year old! I'm happy with the variety of toys in this BarkBox.

Another item included in the March BarkBox was Etta Says! Toasted Coconut Bitz. Retail price $7. I love toasted coconut, so I'm hoping our pup will too, but he hasn't tried these yet. We have too many treats open right now, so we're waiting to open the new stuff. These do look yummy though, I'm tempted to try them myself, haha.

The final item in the box was Etta Says! Bison Chew. I believe we received this same type of chew in duck, in one of our first boxes and I think our pup loved it and ate it right up! So, I'm sure he'll love this one too.

I am very pleased with everything we received in our March BarkBox, as usual! The treats and toys are always different than anything I can buy around me. Once we get low on treats, we'll definitely be subscribing again. I'll be a little sad not seeing what is in the boxes each month. This is one of my favorite subscription boxes!

BarkBox February 2015

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $29/month

I received my BarkBox around the 15th of the month as usual, but I am late reviewing it, sorry. This month's box had a Mardi Gras theme, and I wasn't too sure what to expect. The box is filled with Bourbon Street inspired flavors and festivities!

I love the packaging for BarkBox. So, here's a couple pictures.

And a sneak peek of what was inside the box.

BarkBox always includes an information card explaining the theme and the contents of the box.

The first item included in the box was Harry Barker Mardi Gras Crinkle Mask. The retail price is $10. This is an adorable toy, that I definitely wouldn't be able to find in any store. It was custom made by Harry Barker for BarkBox. My puppy loves it!

We also received Think! Dog Crawfish Jerky. These are soft and savory snacks made from natural ingredients in the US. My puppy has been very picky about his snacks lately. He sniffed these for a while before giving them a try. But when he tried them he wanted more, so he really liked them!

The Aussie Naturals Salmon Quarter Cigar was not something our puppy would try. He looked at it and walked away and never went back to it. He avoided it for the whole day, so we decided to pass this on to another puppy friend who loved it and ate it right up. Like I said, our puppy is picky, but I think most dogs would be a fan of this American sock-eye salmon skin chew.

The Delca Jester Ball was our puppy's favorite item in the box. The retail price was $7. This has a bumpy textured ball inside, which was a nice change from most of his soft filled toys. He's been searching for and carrying this toy around, since it arrived in his box.

The final item included was PetSafe Catfish Po'Boy with Chicken. These arrived in an air tight bag and say to refrigerate them after opening, and consume within 3 days. My puppy hasn't tried these yet, so I'm not sure what he'll think of them. It does say even the pickiest pooches will love these treats, so we'll see.

I love all the items we receive from BarkBox and my puppy has liked most of them. He loves all the toys for sure, but a few of the treats we've had to pass on to other less picky pups, which is fine, because we get a lot of treats in these boxes. I think March will be our final BarkBox. We'll be taking a break for a while, because we have an abundance of treats and toys right now. But I still can't wait to see what we get in March!

BarkBox January 2015

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $29/month

Our BarkBox for January arrived yesterday! I am always excited to see what our puppy gets in his box. This has been a great box so far! This month's theme was Ice Age! This month's BarkBox braved blizzards and escaped snow monsters to bring your pup wintry refreshment!

Here is a first look. I love the tissue paper in BarkBox.

BarkBox always includes an information card that describes everything in the box that month. It also includes the retail price and a code if you want to re order the item.

My favorite item in this month's BarkBox was the toy that you can kind of see in the picture above with white and turquoise. It's a BarkMade Adorable Snowman (exclusive to BarkBox). The retail price is $11. I love this! And the squeaker is not a normal squeaking noise, it's a grunt that's totally adorable and much less annoying. This is totally why I subscribe to BarkBox. I can't resist these adorable toys that I would never find in stores.

We also received Complete Natural Nutrition Off-Leash Twigs. The retail price is $8. Our puppy loves chewing on real twigs, so I'm hoping he likes these! We haven't tried them yet, but they look very interesting. They're a turkey pumpkin flavor that will keep your pup's teeth clean.

The next item we received was Aussie Naturals Salmon Skin Training Treat Nibbles. The retail price is $8. These are made from 100% American salmon skin. I tried to give a few of these to our puppy and he wasn't sure what to do with them. I can't get him to actually eat one, or even put one in his mouth, so these may end up going to a puppy friend.

We received another adorable toy. It was a BarkMade Wooly Mammoth. The retail price is $8. This has a normal squeaker inside, and is really adorable! Our puppy definitely doesn't have a shortage of toys, thanks to BarkBox.

The final item included in the box was a Heartland Premium Rib. The retail price is $2. It is made from American USDA approved beef. Our puppy hasn't tried this yet, but I'm sure he'll love this one!

We have been loving our BarkBox. The toys are so adorable! I think my 2 year old is more excited than the puppy to open this box every month. She loves giving the puppy his new toys! I wonder if we'll get valentine's themed toys for February !?!

Barkbox December 2014

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $29/month

We received our Barkbox December 2014. It was a smaller box size, but I couldn't wait to see what was inside. The holiday tissue paper made me excited! It's so cute!!!

Here's a first peek into the box this month.

As usual Barkbox included an information card detailing everything included in the box. It also tells about the Happy Pawlidays theme this month.

This box is co cute that I'm saving every item for our puppy to open on Christmas day! Our 2 year old daughter was just as excited about his box as I'm sure the pup will be on Christmas!

The first item that caught my eye in the box was a Safemade Holiday tartan bandana (12" x 12"). This is an adorable holiday print and I can't wait to put it on him Christmas morning.

We also received a Simply Fido Penguin with crinkle paper body. Our pup loves these toys with the flat crinkly bodies, so I know he'll love this! It's adorable. I'm loving all the great, quality toys we're getting from Barkbox.

Another toy that was included in the December box was a Quaker Elf. This toy is so adorable, too! I think this was my daughter's favorite toy in the box. She kept asking the puppy where his elf was, forgetting that we were saving it for him to open on Christmas, haha.

We received a Butcher's Block Bone 6" Trachea. It's a 100% beef treat from Omaha, Nebraska. Our puppy is sometimes picky about his bones, so I'm not sure what he'll think of this one. For the most part, he likes most of the treats in his Barkbox, so hopefully he likes this too.

The final item included in our December Barkbox was the Polka Dog Sfizis: Lucky Dog Recipe treats. These are all natural treats that are high in protein, low in fat, and made with USA raised ducks. They also come in a travel container for on the go, which will be perfect for Christmas day, because we'll be travelling.

I am very pleased with the quality of treats and toys included in Barkbox. I do think there will be a point where we no longer need so many toys and we have to stop subscribing, but for now I'm loving this subscription, and so is our pup. We can't wait to see what will be included for January, because the last three month have been holiday themed.

Barkbox November 2014

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $29/month

Our Barkbox November 2014 box arrived last week. I am so in love with this Thanksgiving themed box for my puppy. He is quite fond of it too. Barkbox is always quite full with treats and toys. It's so much fun to open up and see what's inside.

Here's a first look at the box.

Barkbox includes cards each month detailing what is included in the box.

The first item that caught my eye in the box was Swag Company Cornucopia. This is the cutest dog toy ever. It is a cornucopia filled with toys. My 2 year old daughter also loved this and tried to keep it for herself. But the puppy is keeping this for himself. He loves it! He chases the little fruits and veggies all over the room.

The next item included was Plato EOS Turkey & Sweet Potato treats. I think our dog is going to love these, but he hasn't tried any yet. We have too many treats open at the moment, so we're trying to use some up before we open another kind.

I am excited for the Safemade Apawthecary Cleaning Wipes. These wipes will be great for wiping his paws off before he comes in from outside. He always manages to get dirty, so these will be great to try.

We also received Petmate Chef Heggies. I also love this dog toy! It's an adorable hedgehog dressed as a chef. Our puppy loved this toy immediately and has been playing with it since his box arrived, along with his cornucopia.

He has never tried anything like Caru Pet Food Company Beef Stew and I think he'll love it! We're saving it for Thanksgiving, so he can have a special meal along with us. It's made with human grade ingredients, so it should be yummy!

The final item we received was a special extra. It's N-Bone Puppy Dental Sticks. He's not really a fan of these, but he keeps trying them sporadically, so hopefully he'll eventually like them. I wish he would chew the items that are good for his teeth and would freshen his breath, but for some reason, he wants nothing to do with them.

We've only been getting Barkbox for 2 months now and I'm very impressed. Our puppy has loved everything and the quality is great! This box really packs a lot in it too, so I feel like it's definitely worth the cost. I'm so excited to see what they do for December!
