My Paper Pumpkin April 2016

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $19.95/month

I received my April Paper Pumpkin earlier in the month, and I was hoping I'd get a chance to make it, before reviewing it, but I haven't yet. I loved this month!

I mentioned last month that Paper Pumpkin was celebrating their anniversary and giving all subscribers an extra stamp set this month. Well, this is it! I love it! It's great for all occasions! And it's much larger than the stamp sets that are normally included in the kits. It was definitely a welcome addition to this month's kit.

The kit this month is a Lovely Little Wreath. I love this and it's very different than anything I've seen included in the past. I was hoping to make it right away, but haven't had the time, unfortunately. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

As usual, Paper Pumpkin includes everything you need to make the project, plus extras. This month looks so fun! You can also use the supplies to create whatever you'd like and there are always different ideas on Pinterest or Instagram.

The stamps included for this month's kit were "Happy Mother's Day", "You're the Loveliest Person I know", and "Happy Spring". I love these! The ink included is Very Vanilla, which will be perfect for the dark chalkboard like paper. So cute! I love how we get such a variety of supplies in these kits.

I'm so happy with the April Paper Pumpkin and can't wait to make the project! I love all the projects we've created the past few months. I decided to take a break from Paper Pumpkin for awhile because the summer months get very busy for me, but I'll probably subscribe to this again in the Fall or Winter to have something fun to look forward to each month!

My Paper Pumpkin March 2016

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $19.95/month

I received My Paper Pumpkin for the month of March, and I couldn't wait to see what was inside! This is the last of my 3 month subscription, so I was hoping it would be a good month. My daughter gets excited about these boxes and loves helping me complete the projects.

This month the box was a different color than normal. They are normally red. I liked the spring change!

When I opened up the box the first thing I saw was a paper insert...with some very exciting news! Paper Pumpkin turned 3 and also shipped their One Millionth Box!!! They are celebrating by sending a special gift next month in April. The gift will be in addition to the regular kit for the month and will be an exclusive stamp set called "All About Everything". Well...you know how I said this was my last month?!? Well, it's not now, because if course I don't want to miss out on that stamp set, so I'll be getting a few more months of My Paper Pumpkin. I can't wait to see the exclusive stamp set next month!!!

The March kit provided everything you need to make "Pocketful of Cheer". It had a graduation theme and included supplies to make 8 gift cards and 8 gift card envelopes. There are 2 different styles of gift cards in fun spring floral designs of blue and green. I love these! I'll definitely use these, if not for graduations, for birthdays and other occasions.

Here is a list of everything included:
-Pocketful of Cheer Photopolymer Stamp Set
-Bermuda Bay Classic Stampin' Spot Ink
-8 card bases (4 large, 4 small)
-4 double sided gift card pockets
-4 double sided belly bands
-2 sheets of printed die cuts
-1 sheet of printed stickers
-25 green adhesive pearls
-3 yds of green and white baker's twine
-25 adhesive strips
-20 adhesive dots
-15 dimensionals

The stamps included this month say "Happy Happy", "Just for you", "Oh, Baby", and "Hooray Grad". The picture stamps included a balloon, flowers, heart, and grad cap. These are very versatile, so I know I will use them. I have noticed we get quite a few small flower and heart stamps in these kits though. Hopefully next month there will be some more variety. The ink color included was Bermuda Bay, which is a pretty blue color that matches the printed paper.

I'm very happy with My Paper Pumpkin this month and will definitely be making these with my daughter! I'm so excited for April now too, and can't wait to see the exclusive stamp set. I wonder if it will be full size or small, like the ones normally included in these kits. It'd be amazing if it was a full size kit, but I'm betting it will be more like the sets we usually get in these kits. But I'm always excited about any extra item!

My Paper Pumpkin February 2016

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $19.95/month

I received My Paper Pumpkin this week and I couldn't wait to see what the project would be! I don't look at spoilers for this box, so it's always a surprise. I really do love these projects each month. I may end up subscribing longer than 3 months.

Here is everything that was included this month! It's a set to make cards for various occasions. It's called "Hello Sunshine". And I really liked the colors and patterns. Very Spring! These will be perfect! And look easy enough for my daughter to help make them again.

Here is a pic of the suggested way to complete the project, but you can really do whatever you'd like with the supplies provided. I'll be making cards, but probably won't make them exactly like the sample.

Here is a picture of the cards and envelopes and some of the extras provided. I love the printed envelopes. The envelopes are all the same, but the cards vary, as you can see from the picture above. Most of the embellishments are sticker backed, so these are easy to make. I didn't take everything out of the package yet, so I don't have a picture of everything.

The ink included for this kit was Blackberry Bliss. It matches some of the flowers on the cards and is a dark color, which I prefer for ink, because it shows up best.

I really liked the stamps included in this kit. They are versatile and can be used for various occasions. I'm so happy when I receive stamps I can re-use over and over. I think my favorite is hello sunshine. Love it! These are perfect!

My Paper Pumpkin was great this month! I will use everything. And I will continue to use the stamps over and over. This kit will be great for anytime of year, even though it does have a Spring vibe. I'm so happy I received the kit this month! And I can't wait to see what I get next month!!!

My Paper Pumpkin January 2016

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $19.95/month

During the winter months, I love crafty projects to keep me busy, while I'm stuck indoors. So, I subscribed to My Paper Pumpkin, which is the subscription box for Stampin Up. I love stamping! I subscribed to these for a while when they first came out, but then stopped and decided to try them again. I'm only getting 3 months, just to get me through the winter! So, I received the January box and made it this week with my 3 year old daughter's help! She loved it as much as I did.

Here is what you'll see when you open the box. Everything is neatly packaged under the tissue paper!

This month's project was called Cute Conversations and had a Valentine's Day theme. We made these for my daughter's day care. You could either make a banner or heart shaped pockets to hold treats. We made heart shaped pockets to hold Fun Dip and Conversation Hearts! The kit comes with instructions of how to create the project and you are always open to use the supplies for whatever you'd like to create. Plus these kits usually have extra supplies left over, which I like. I'll list everything that came in this kit below, but I did not take pictures of every individual item.

-Cute Conversations Photopolymer Stamp Set (10 stamps)
-Watermelon Wonder Classic Stampin Spot Ink
-30 double sided paper hearts
-30 double-sided paper flags
-30 mini clothespins
-6 yds of white and mint baker's twine
-5 yds of pink sequin trim
-50 adhesive dots
-30 adhesive strips

They really give you everything you need to completely finish the project!

Here are some of the cute conversation hearts we made! My daughter was so proud! They came out really cute and kept us both busy for a few hours!!!

I'm happy I decided to subscribe to My Paper Pumpkin again. I really love these projects. I can't wait to see what they send for the next couple months!

Paper Pumpkin July 2013

Rating: Not For Me!
Cost: $19.95/month

Paper Pumpkin by Stampin' Up is a monthly craft subscription that sends supplies to make a paper project in approximately 30 min. I really like Stampin' Up products and was introduced to them by a friend! They are great for scrapbooking or making cards (which I love to do). Paper Pumpkin was started a few month ago and I've been a subscriber since the beginning. I haven't been super thrilled about what I've received in the monthly kits, but I wanted to give them a fair trial (hoping it would get better). Usually you get supplies to make 4 greeting cards, but there have been a couple projects also.

This month was a project and the picture of what you make is below. You make Party Pennants, which would have been cute for my daughter's birthday last month. (a bit late)

You get enough supplies to make 2 pennants with 2 designs each. Below is a picture of all the supplies included. By using what is provided there is not a lot of customization you can do, since the words and letters are already printed. The sample ink colors included were Pool Party (which I love and already own) and Summer Starfruit. The tiny clothes pins included are probably my favorite thing in the box. Totally adorable!!!

The stamps included are to be used for the backgrounds. There are dots, stripes, and honeycomb. I'm a fan of the honeycomb, so I'll probably use this for other projects! I already own dots and stripes, but I'm sure I'll find a use for these smaller versions.

I've decided to cancel Paper Pumpkin because I feel the value of the box is just not there. I like Stampin' Up products and will continue to purchase them, but would prefer to pick them out on my own. Plus there are so many other great subscription boxes I need to try, that this no longer fits in my budget!
