Citrus Lane December 2014

Rating: Like It!!!
Cost: $29/month

I received my daughter's 30 month Citrus Lane December 2014 box this week. I actually cancelled, but re-subscribed when they had the free Skip Hop lunchie and straw cup promotion. I'm not sure this box was enough to make me continue my subscription.

Usually Citrus Lane includes an information card detailing what is in the box, but this month I didn't have one.

The first item we received was the Green Toys Pizza Stacker. This goes along with my daughters gifts for Christmas, so I know she'll love it. She loves pretending to make and serve food to us, so this is perfect for her!

She also received the Melissa & Doug Alphabet Nesting and Stacking Blocks. I think she will like these, but we haven't taken them out of the packaging yet. They stand 3 ft tall, so I think she'll love that. And of course knocking them over will be her favorite thing to do!

The Little Pea Book is the cutest story. I really like the illustrations too. My daughter loves books, so I'm always happy to add to our collection.

Sometimes Citrus Lane will include a mommy item. I believe the Juice Beauty Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer is the mommy item this month. And I need some new moisturizer and love Juice Beauty, so this was a nice addition to the box!

As I said earlier, I re subscribed when Citrus Lane had the promotion for a free Skip Hop lunchie and straw cup. This is the variation we received. I know my daughter will love it! She uses her Skip Hop owl straw cup all the time. And I love the special edition holiday characters. I would have been happy to receive any of them.

I'm happy with what is included in this month's Citrus Lane box, but the value does not seem to be there, like it was in the past. I'd like more variety in the boxes. I'll be cancelling this subscription. I enjoy it, but not enough to keep it.

Citrus Lane November 2014

Rating: Like It!!!
Cost: $29/month

Our Citrus Lane November box came last week. I was so excited to see what we would get in this box, because I had seen some spoilers and there were a few things I was hoping we would get. This month's box included some of Citrus Lane's favorite things for encouraging creative play and cognitive development.

Here is a first look at the box.

Citrus Lane always includes an information card explaining everything included in the box.

The item I was most excited for and was hoping we would get was the Veggie Play Set from Plan Toys. This goes great with the kitchen set we are buying my daughter for Christmas and she was so excited when she saw these veggies. These are already a hit!

The next item included in the box was 12 and 24 piece puzzle set from Barefoot Books. This is a cute set of 2 puzzles. My daughter still needs help putting these together, but this will be a fun activity for both of us.

We also received Brilliant Beeswax Crayons in Storage Case from Faber-Castell. She loves crayons and we've never tried this brand before, so I'm excited to see what they're like. I like that these have a storage case, because crayons have a tendency to magically disappear all over the house. I hope we can keep these together.

The final item was a mystery item. It says subscribers were able to choose their mystery item, but I never received an e-mail, so this item truly was a mystery. We received Annie's Cheddar Snack Mix and my daughter loved it! I'm not too sure what the other choices were.

There was also a coupon for 25% off Tiny Prints and free shipping, so I might be using that for holiday cards.

I was happy with the Citrus Lane box this month. I do feel like the value has decreased in these boxes, because for quite some time we have been receiving 4 items and 1-2 are usually small or sample size, low value products. I'm happy with what we get, but I'm not sure I'll be re-subscribing when our subscription runs out. I guess it depends what kind of deals they have for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Citrus Lane October 2014

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $29/month

My 28 month old daughter's Citrus Lane box came yesterday. This month's box included items geared towards spending more time inside as the weather gets colder and toys to stimulate budding imaginations. I was definitely excited to see what was in the box. This month's box was also pink for Breast Cancer awareness month.

Here is the first look.

And as always, Citrus Lane includes an information card describing everything included in the box. Ours was a bit crinkled from it's journey here.

The item we were able to choose this month were Leg Warmers from Ooh La Leggings. I chose the polka dot style for my daughter. I have a weakness for polka dots! These are adorable and have really cute ruffles. I really should schedule pictures and plan her outfit around these!!!

We also received Taxi Story City Set from Janod. This is adorable! These encourage young imaginations by playing "city" and are compatible with standard train track sets. My daughter was zooming these cars around right away.

The Pink Car Story City Set from Janod was also included. This is also adorable! Really, what little girl can resist a pink car?!? Plus it goes along with Breast Cancer awareness month (not sure if that was intentional). But this set was made exclusively for Citrus Lane. I like that they included 2 sets in the box, so they can be used together and create more of a "city" setting.

The final item included was Maracitos from Hohner Kids. My daughter loves these instruments and has quite a few. She immediately picked these up and started shaking them all around. And these really do sound great!

My daughter and I really enjoyed everything included in this box. Citrus Lane has been sending 4 items for quite a few of the past months. They used to have more variety in their boxes, where some months there would be large items included and others a few small items. Now it seems like they are trying to be very consistent in what they include each month. I enjoy what we get, but I think I'd like them to add more variety back. It's starting to get a bit predictable, where as before you really never knew what you would find inside the box.

Citrus Lane September 2014

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost $29/month

My 27 month old daughter's Citrus Lane box arrived. This month the items included were celebrating the fall when more time is spent inside. Bed and bath products were included to help out with those times of the day. I had no idea what to expect this month, because I didn't receive any e-mail to choose a product of my choice. And I didn't look at spoilers, so I had no idea what I would see in this box.

Citrus Lane always includes an information card explaining everything in the box. This box didn't seem very full this month, but I was liking what I saw when I opened the tissue paper.

The first item included was Twinkles To Go from Cloud B in pink. This is a really cute nightlight that projects stars and bubbles. It's so adorable and will go in her room perfectly! We do already have the turtle that projects stars, but this actually looks better in her room, so we may be moving the turtle so this one can take it's place.

The next item was something we ripped open immediately and used right away. The Pieces Foam Bath Puzzle from Boon is a fun puzzle that sticks to the wall of a tub. My daughter is always excited about a new bath toy! We worked to put the puzzle together, but once she found out how great the pieces were for splashing me with water, it turned into a much different game with lots of giggling.

We also received the Radish Dish Soap from Mrs. Meyers. I wasn't sure what this would smell like, but I like it! It's different and will definitely be used.

The final item included in this month's box was Write On Your Own Shoe Label from Emily Press. These allow kids to match up the image on the label so shoes go on the right feet. It's such a cute idea!

I love everything in this month's Citrus Lane box! It felt a little emptier than some months, but I know we will use every item, so I'm very happy with it. I always love getting new and different things I wouldn't think of buying and don't already have. I can't wait to see what next month brings!

Citrus Lane August 2014

Rating: Lifer!!!!!
Cost: $29/month

My 26 month old daughter's Citrus Lane box came today! She was napping, but I couldn't wait to open it, so I did before she woke up (does that make me a horrible mommy?) I hadn't looked for any spoilers and wasn't expecting this box for a few days, so this was a complete surprise. It's always so much fun to open a box, when you have no idea what to expect.

Here is my first look.

And here is what was included inside.

Citrus Lane always includes an information card describing everything included in the box.

Citrus Lane has been letting subscribers choose one of their items the past few months. This month I had a choice of which Alphabet Flash Cards from Petit Collage I would receive. I could choose between "animals" or "on the go" and I chose "on the go" because my daughter is really interested in cars, trucks, and planes lately, so I knew she'd love these. These are totally adorable! And I wish we would have had them for the 6 hour car ride we just took to keep her entertained. Some words may be a little advanced for her (I didn't even know what a Zeppelin was), but the illustrations are worthy of being framed art.

The next item included was Tea for Two from Green Toys. I squealed a little when I saw this because I've almost bought her the Green Toys Tea Set a few times, but have resisted. She loves playing with dishes and tea sets, so this is perfect! And this is so cute in pink and purple!!! And it's dishwasher safe, so you can really use it as a tea set. I know this will be her new favorite toy!

The next item included was a Reusable Cool It Buddy from Me4Kidz. My daughter might be crazy, but she loves these things. She'll ask for them for her pretend boo boos, just so she can use the cold packs. This one is just her size and has a really cute saying! "I am okay, I am brave, I am tough, I am all better, I am ready to play now"

Also included was a Language Video Digital Download from Little Pim. I knew daddy would be excited about this. He wants her to learn multiple languages, so we will be using this. And she watches cartoons in all sorts of languages, so she'll enjoy it too! It's always good to learn a language at an early age.

It seems like this Citrus Lane box did not have as many items as other boxes in the past, but I was really happy with everything included and I know my daughter will be too! I know we'll be using them all!!!

Citrus Lane July 2014

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $29/month

My 25 month old daughter's Citrus Lane box arrived. We're always so excited to see what they send each month. I was hoping for some products I hadn't seen. This month's box was about travel, and they included some of their favorite products for on the go.

Here is my first look after I ripped open the tissue paper.

Citrus Lane always includes an information card describing everything included in the box.

Citrus Lane has been letting subscribers choose one item in their box lately. This month I was able to choose between a camera or phone. My daughter has lots of pretend phones, so I opted for the camera. We received My First Camera by Plan Toys and my daughter loves this. It's so cute with it's kaleidoscope lens and working button. She loves going around pretending to take pictures of everything! It's the cutest thing!!!

The next item was Aqueduck Faucet Extender from Peachy. These are the types of products I love getting from Citrus Lane. It's something so useful, but I would never think to buy it. This makes it easier for little kiddos to reach the faucet water. Genius!! My daughter loves washing up, so this is perfect. She's at the age where she has to do everything herself, so with this she can! I love it!!!

The next item was a Silicone Placemat from Oogaa. We actually received this same placemat in a previous box in pink, but I'm fine with it because this one is purple and we use these. We actually own the bowls and spoons by Oogaa too and love all their products! I would never be disappointed to have duplicates of any of their items.

We also received something that wasn't on the information card. It had a little note inside that said we may have received a duplicate product from a previous box, so they sent us a little extra treat. In the Garden with Van Gogh is such a cute book!!! I'm so happy we received it! I felt like we won something when I noticed we had something extra and that is never a bad thing!

We also received Mighty 4 Pouch from Plum Organics. My daughter still eats these, so I'm happy to receive them. They're great for the car or when we're on the go and she needs to eat right away.

The final item was a mom product. It was Pur Protect SPF 30 from Pur-Lisse. We've received products from this brand in previous boxes and I've been very happy with them. I haven't tried this yet, but I definitely will. I use sunscreen every day, so I'm always happy to have more.

I'm always thrilled with the Citrus Lane box each month and this was no exception. I'm not lying when I tell you the toys included in these boxes each month continue to be my daughter's favorite. I can't wait to see what they come out with next!!!

Citrus Lane June 2014

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $29/month

My 24 month old daughter's Citrus Lane box arrived yesterday! That's right, it's her birthday month and the little darling will be 2 on the 26th! Where has the time gone?!? I always think this box is even more special to open during her birthday month and was hoping for some great surprises (Citrus Lane never disappoints).

My daughter loves to see this box waiting for her on the doorstep.

Here is the first look.

Citrus Lane always includes an information card with details about all the products in the box.

This month we got to choose one item and it was the Wet Bag from Bumkins. There was various patterns/designs to choose from, but I fell in love with the Minnie print. We already own a wet bag in a different print and use it all the time, so I was happy to get another one. And who can resist this print?!? This is great for summer weather, when you just never know when you'll have wet clothes because you needed to take a swim.

The next item we received was a Pouch Puzzle by Mudpuppy. We received a puzzle last month, so I was surprised to see one this month too. Last month it was a wooden puzzle, so this is different and at first I thought it might be a puzzle that could be used in water, but it isn't. I think a puzzle for the beach is a great idea, but that might just be me. So, anyways this is a cardboard puzzle (which we don't own, because my daughter is still in the wooden puzzle phase). This is bright and colorful and I think she'll enjoy trying to put it together.

The next item was what I was most excited to see in the box. It was a Zoo Straw Bottle from Skip Hop. I love everything from Skip Hop and we have the lunch bag in the same owl character, so I was very happy! I'm always excited about new sippy cups and my daughter loves the straw ones, so this is perfect!

The final item included was Mighty 4 Bars from Plum Organics. These are essential nutrition bars baked with whole grains, fruits, veggies, and yogurt. My daughter loved these! Plus they're healthy for her. She's at the age where she doesn't always want to eat what we're eating, so these come in handy to make sure she's getting the nutrition she needs.

Another great month with Citrus Lane! We will definitely use every item, as usual. I'm very happy and already looking forward to what we'll get next month!
