Bundles of Joy June 2015

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $36/month

My daughter's Bundle of Joy arrived Thursday. Her birthday was Friday, so it was like an early birthday present for her! She's always excited to see packages in the mail, and even more excited when she finds out they are for her! I was just as excited as she was to see what we would get this month.

Here is a first peek.

And this is what we saw when we opened the tissue paper. It looked like another fun box!

Here is everything we received. Looked perfect for hanging out this summer!

The outfit was an adorable short set by Nannette. I love this! It looks cute and comfy, which is key for my daughter's wardrobe.

The next item was a Coral Lace Headband that goes perfectly with the outfit. It's very soft, so my daughter loves wearing it. I think she's put it on every day since we opened this box!

We also received American Flag Sunglasses. She loves these and put them on right away. She also wouldn't leave the house in the morning without these, haha. Her new favorite sunnies! These will be so cute for the 4th of July!

Her favorite item in the box was the Crocodile Creek Ladybug Puzzle. It's perfect for her age and she loves putting it together. Another hit!

And since June was Father's day, we also received a gift for daddy!

It was soap from Soap For Your Soul and a Superman Lanyard! How cute! Daddy loved his little gift!!!

The soap was Forest scented with Earthy Oakmoss and Sweet Amber. It's a manly scent perfect for a hard working dad!

We loved this box and will definitely use everything. Here is a picture of my daughter enjoying the headband and sunglasses! I can't wait to see what July brings.

And then on Friday, my daughter's birthday, another package arrived in a pink package from Bundles of Joy. It was a birthday gift! And it arrived exactly on her birthday. We love surprises, so this was a welcome bonus, that I didn't expect! This subscription does a great job with personalized touches and makes the recipient feel special. She received a cute handwritten card and some beautiful "jewels" (as she calls them) and a sweet fabric cupcake! Too cute! We loved this birthday surprise!!!

Thanks Bundles of Joy, for not only making my daughter feel special, but also mommy and daddy on their special days in May and June! This box really caters to everyone!!!

Birchbox June 2015

Rating: Love It!!!!
Cost: $10/month

My Birchbox for June arrived! I was excited for this month's box because I had peeked at my account to see what I was getting and it looked like I would be getting more than the normal 5 samples per month. I was very happy about that. And they all sounded perfect for me!

This month's theme was Adventure. And they also gave all subscribers unique codes to enter in the website Birchbox.com/SayYes. Every code was a winner! I received 10% off my next order. I'm curious what others won, so if you subscribe and won something different, please tell us in the comments!

Birchbox always includes an information card explaining everything in the box.

The first sample I received was the item I chose this month. I was so excited to try the Dr. Jart+ Dermaclear Micro Water. This is made with hydrogen mineral water and it cleanses and removes make-up. It worked really well, but I could feel it on my skin, so I prefer to rinse it off. The instructions say you can leave it on or rinse it off. My skin felt refreshed and clean after using this product! I'll definitely continue using it.

The next item I received was Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid SPF 15. I have tried the Vinoperfect eye serum and face moisturizer in previous Birchboxes, so I was excited to try this product. It works amazing! It blended into my skin so well and felt very soft. It has a subtle scent, and feels like you have no make-up on at all once it sinks in. Plus it has SPF! It's perfect! I love it!!!

I also received Clean Fresh Laundry perfume. I usually hate receiving perfume samples in my Birchbox, but since I received more than 5 samples this month I didn't mind at all. This is described as a citrus, floral, and wood fragrance. It really did smell like fresh laundry that was hung outside to dry and I really really loved it! I prefer subtle clean scents and this was perfect! I applied it once and as I was putting the cap on I dropped it on my tile bathroom floor and it shattered, ahhhh! I was so mad at my clumsy self, because I was looking forward to using the whole sample to decide if I wanted to purchase it. So now I think I'll be buying the rollerball scent to get a fair trial of this amazing scented perfume!

I also received Klorane Shampoo with Mango Butter, which came with a foil sample of Conditioning Balm with Mango Butter also. I'm not sure if I've ever tried mango scented products before and I'm not sure why, because this smelled great! I also love when Birchbox includes both the shampoo and conditioner so you can try them together. This is great for dry hair and is very moisturizing. And did I mention it smells amazing! It makes my hair smooth and shiny, but even if it didn't work well I would find a way to use it, just for the scent. Did I mention how great this smells?!?

And I'm still not done, even though I've already told you about 5 products I received in this box. Believe it or not there are 2 more. I also received Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner in Indigo. This has great pigment and was easy to apply. It washes off easily at the end of the day, even though it's waterproof. I don't wear eyeliner every day, but when I get a new one in my Birchbox I end up wearing it daily. And blue is my favorite color for eyeliner, at least on me!

The final bonus item I received was L. Erikson Grab & Go Ponytail Holder. I received a gold hair tie, which will be perfect for the summer months. We sail a lot in the summer and this will be perfect, so my hair is not knotted after boating! And it will go with everything!!!

My June Birchbox was great! I really loved every product and will use them all (except the perfume which shattered, but I'll be buying more because I loved it)! Birchbox already released the video with the sample choices for July. Here is a link to it if you haven't seen it yet. And can we talk about Birchbox Plus for July for a minute. I wanted to order them all! I'm sure they'll sell out quick because they're amazing, so snag them quick if you can. I ordered the SunnyLife Fouta Towel in Sorrento and the Hayden Reiss Beach Bud in Birchbox Exclusive Yellow with Pink Pineapple. I mentioned we sail and I can't resist sailcloth items, plus I'm very into pineapples this season. I can't wait to get them in July along with my next Birchbox!!!

Popsugar Must Have June 2015

Rating: Like It!!!
Cost: $39.95/month

My June Popsugar Must Have box came the day after I looked at spoilers for the box. I suppose if I knew the box was arriving the next day I could have waited and it would have been a complete surprise, but I hadn't checked the tracking, oops. After seeing the spoilers I wasn't too excited about this box, but I was hoping I would have a better impression after seeing everything in person.

Popsugar always includes an information card explaining everything in the box. This month's inspirations were sun-kissed, soft skin, papaya, outdoor fun, coconut, and yoga warrior. It sounds like a fun summery box!

Here is the first peek into the box.

The first item included in the box was Quay Australia Mandate Sunglasses. These are matte black sunglasses and they're really nice. I'm not sure if it's the dark color lenses and frames or the shape, but these just doesn't work on me. I'm sure I will find somebody that loves them though. I love that Popsugar included a brand I had never heard of, I just wish they would have been a lighter, fun, summery color!

The next item included was Judy Blume's "In the Unlikely Event". This is a new book about a disaster stricken town in which an unlikely group copes together. I'm not much of a reader and if I do read, I prefer a happy story. I'm not sure if I'll read a bit to see what I think or just pass it on to someone that would enjoy it.

I also received Pacifica Enlighten Eye Brightening Shadow Palette. This eye shadow is infused with coconut water and is vegan and cruelty free. I'm not sure I'm too crazy about the colors included for my skin tone. I think they'd look amazing on beautiful tanned skin, but unfortunately I stay very pale year round, so I don't think this palette will flatter my skin.

The Yogitoes Peacock hBand can be used as a headband or eye mask according to the information card. I'll probably just use it when I'm bumming around the house or as a headband in the morning when I apply my make-up.

The Spongelle Boxed Flowers-Fleur en Boite was my favorite item in this month's box. It's different and like nothing I've used before. It's a papaya yuzu body wash infused buffer. It smells great and looks fun to use too. I love the cute flower shape! Popsugar always manages to introduce me to skin care and body products that I end up falling in love with and adding to my daily routine. This just might be another!

The final item included was Snap Infusion Super Candy. These are gummy candies packed with B vitamins that boost energy, antioxidants to keep your immune system strong, and electrolytes to keep you hydrated. My daughter wanted to open these as soon as she saw them, so we shared some right after taking the pictures! They were yummy!!!

There was a special extra included this month also. It was a $30 Gift Card for Sweet & Spark. The website sells one of a kind vintage jewelry. I can't resist jewelry or a great deal. I already ordered the pretty necklace pictured below! I think it will look great with everything!!! And even if you're not a Popsugar subscriber, the site offers $10 off to new customers when you sign up with your e-mail.

This month's Popsugar box had a few items I liked, but the higher value items included in the box weren't really for me. The paste few boxes have been amazing, so I'm not surprised that this one missed the mark for me. I'm sure others loved it, and I'm sure whoever I gift my items to will love them too. The value of this box is still amazing and though these items weren't my taste, this box is still definitely worth the cost and I will continue subscribing. I think I'm just ready for some bright colors and pop items to be included in this box for summer. They really do include a lot of blue and neutral, but I'd love to see some more color!!!

Nurture VoxBox from Influenster

I love when I open my inbox and have a survey from Influenster saying I might be the right fit for their next VoxBox. And it's even more excited if I get a follow on email, saying to check my mailbox, because I'm getting a free VoxBox. I was lucky enough to get the Nurture VoxBox this month. Influenster posted a spoiler video of what would be included in the box, so of course I had to check it out. Even though, I knew exactly what I'd be getting I was happy when the box finally arrived and I could see everything in person.

If you're not familiar with Influenster, anyone can join the program and receive free boxes to review products! You fill out surveys and do other tasks to qualify for boxes that match your preferences. It's a great program! Seriously, who doesn't love free stuff?!?

Here is a first peek into the box.

And here is everything laid out, so you can see everything I received!

The Nurture VoxBox also included an information card explaining everything in the box.

The item I was most excited to try was Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen (Sensitive). Retail Price $14.99 for 3oz tube. I also received a sample of Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen (Sport). When I heard about this I was very excited, but I misunderstood the color changing aspect of this sunscreen. I thought when you applied this sunscreen it changed blue when it was wearing off, alerting you to re-apply. I was so happy about that because it would be perfect for my 2 year old daughter. Well, turns out that is not what this product does. The cap of the sunscreen turns blue when there are UV rays and the darker it gets the more UV rays there are. Now, I guess that makes more sense and is still a great indicator of when you really need to slather on the sunscreen. This sunscreen works great and is not greasy. It blends in nicely, leaving no white film. Even though it didn't live up to my color changing expectations, I'm still very happy this was included in the box.

The above picture was taken inside with no UV rays present and the following picture was taken outside in bright sunlight. You can see how blue the cap is. I also took it outside later in the evening to see if the cap would be less blue and it was a very faint shade of blue (I didn't take a picture of that though).

The ATTITUDE 2 in 1 Shampoo and Body Wash smells great! Retail Price $9.99. It has a clean smell that leaves a slightly perfumed scent, but is not overpowering. It worked well as a shampoo and body wash. I felt clean and my hair was very easy to brush while wet. This also contains worry free ingredients and can be purchased at Target. I think I'll try this brand with my daughter, who has very sensitive skin. +ATTITUDE Living +Influenster #ATTITUDEatTarget

I received a coupon for free Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Easy Fries. My daughter loves french fries, so this was great! We already buy this brand, so it wasn't something new for us. We enjoy these and will definitely use this coupon! +OreidaPotatoes +Influenster #OreIdaEasyFries

The Uncle Ben's Rice coupon will come in handy when we need a quick meal idea. We will add some veggies and chicken to this rice and have a meal ready in minutes. My daughter prefers meals with everything mixed together and she has always been a fan of rice! #beginwithben

The RedVines were my daughter's favorite thing in the box. They are exactly her type of treat. Yummy and gummy! I'd never tried this brand before, but they were very similar to twizzlers. Different but still tasted great! They are softer and have a hallow center. These would make a fun straw for kiddos!

The Hada Labo Tokyo Ultimate Anti-Aging Facial Mask was a great treat for me! It felt so nice on my skin. It was really refreshing and didn't feel heavy or irritating. The mask was drenched in serum and even after I took the mask off (after 15 minutes) my skin had more than enough serum on it. I padded the extra serum into my skin after the mask was off, as instructed. It kind of feels like too much for my skin, but is not irritating, so I will leave it and hopefully wake up with flawless skin, haha. Obviously, I'm not expecting a miracle, but I will probably buy more of these because my skin feels great now!

The Non-Drowsy Dramamine is my go to product for all the summer traveling we do. I get motion sickness, so I use this whenever I fly, take a train, or on long car rides. I was so happy this was included, because now I don't have to buy it for our next trip! And I already know it works!!! #nondrowsydramamine

This was a fun box to review! The Nurture VoxBox included products I will definitely use, and I never complain about free anything, haha. I can't wait to be considered for more VoxBoxes.

*This complimentary box was received in exchange for my honest review. As always the opinions are my own!
