Thursday Thoughts

I'm linking up with Jen from Ramblings of a Suburban Mom for Thursday Thoughts.

I'm so excited for all my subscription boxes to arrive this month. I thought it would be a fairly uneventful March, because I was trying to cut back (which really didn't end up happening). I should be getting my first Elizabeth & Clarke Spring 2014 Collection any day now. I'm so excited to see the quality of the shirts I chose. I also already chose my shirts for the Summer 2014 collection, because I couldn't resist one of the shirts.

The Truman (E&C Summer 2014)

I'm very excited for the Popsugar Must Have Limited Edition Resort box (this is sold out now). I ordered this box without even thinking (I'm in desperate need of some warm weather and no more snow). When they released the spoiler I was so happy I purchased on impulse. I love this Cuyana Turkish Towel and can't wait to see it in person. I'll be happy with any color!!! I think I'm really going to love whatever they decide to put in this box, honestly. Anything that makes me think of warm weather, is going to be a hit with me right now.

When Popsugar Must Have releases a Limited Edition box I always think the regular monthly box won't be that great that month, so I was very happy when I saw the spoiler they released for the monthly box. I love it and I can't wait to see it in person. I'm sure it's going to be a great box month!!! Plus 10 subscribers still have the chance for the Lollia gifts to be included in their March box. I'm sure I won't be one of them, but I'll be happy for the ones that do win!

I also broke down and bought a $49 tote from Golden Tote this month. I chose a maxi dress, which reminds me of beachy times (apparently that is where my mind wants to be this month).

Golden Tote March Pick

I'm so thankful for the trading forums that have been created, especially to trade Golden Tote items. For February I was able to purchase the crossover sweater that was a surprise item in the $49 totes from someone trading/selling it in the forums (I ordered a $149 tote for February and did not get the sweater as a surprise item). And I am completely in love with this sweater. It is the perfect mint color, fits amazing and I seriously want to wear it every day!

Also, because of the trading forums I was able to trade the chevron sweater that was too large for me for an amazing spring coat, that I'm so excited for! I needed a coat with a hood that was light weight and this is perfect, plus it has some cute details and a tie waist to make it more fitted. And the people I've traded with have all been so kind. I've had nothing, but pleasant experiences!

As I look out my window and watch the snow coming down, it's clear spring weather is not coming soon enough. I hope all these boxes provide me with the relief from winter that I need at this time of the year. Is anyone else needing Spring?!?

I need to tell my favorite story regarding Spring. When my oldest niece was very young, probably around 3 or 4 we were shopping in Lowe's this time of year. They had the garden center open with all the bright flowers and we had to walk in there, because it was so tempting. When my niece saw it she immediately said, "Oh, so this is where they've been hiding Spring!" I've never cracked up so hard in my life. I still think of that story every Spring (it's probably been about 7 or 8 years now). We really could have written a book with all the clever things that girl says, haha!

    1. Kelley, thank you for visiting! Golden Tote is always something I look forward to buying when I have the extra money to spend on it that month! It definitely is worth it and now with the trading forums you can trade whatever you don't end up liking for stuff you love! It works out very well.

    1. Jennifer, thanks for visiting! It seems like every time I say I'm going to cut back I end up spending more. But I justify it as being worth it, because seeing the boxes on my doorstep makes me so so so happy :)
